About NHBSR

Partnerships

New Hampshire Businesses for Social Responsibility is part of an ever-growing network of business membership organizations that focus on corporate social responsibility. Working in partnership with these groups, NHBSR is expanding its capacity to serve its members' business needs and to achieve the mission of NHBSR.

We currently enjoy formal partnerships with:

Business NH Magazine - Breakfast with the Best

Since 1997, Business NH Magazine and NH Businesses for Social Responsibility have recognized businesses, both large and small, that have created outstanding company cultures. Each year, companies across the state submit lengthy applications extolling their benefits, company cultures, training and educational opportunities and their mission statements in the hopes of being named as one of the 10 Best Companies to Work For in NH. Submissions are pared down to 20 semi-finalists and the final 10 are selected by a panel of judges from various business sectors. The Best Companies competition has evolved during the years, adding site tour visits to the semi-finalist round, splitting the competition into large and small company categories in 2000 and establishing an honor roll of companies that have made the list five times. An annual breakfast in February celebrates these companies for being employers of choice and offers attendees an opportunity to learn from their leadership. Learn more on Breakfast with the Best.

Granite Earth Institute - CSR Discussion Circles

The Granite Earth Institute motivates individuals to examine and transform personal values and habits, to accept responsibility for the earth, and to act on that commitment. NHBSR in partnership with GEI has offered discussions and educational programs that bring people together, raise their awareness, and facilitate profound change in their values, habits, and actions in caring for their community and environment.

The model used is one that promotes sharing among equals, with no teacher. Discussions allow for exploration, personal sharing and learning about issues that are vital to our earth and our relationship to it.

Some of the topics that have been discussed are; Green Business Practices, Choices for Sustainable Living, Advertising and Consumerism, A Sense of Place, Balancing Work and Personal Time and The Big Question: Are Humans Sustainable?
