SUMMARY:QPR Training (Mental Health CPR Training)
DESCRIPTION:QPR stands for Question\, Persuade\, and Refer — the 3 simple steps anyone can learn to help save a life from suicide. \nJust as people trained in CPR and the Heimlich Maneuver help save thousands of lives each year\, people trained in QPR learn how to recognize the warning signs of a suicide crisis and how to question\, persuade\, and refer someone to help. Each year thousands of Americans\, like you\, are saying “Yes” to saving the life of a friend\, colleague\, sibling\, or neighbor. \nAccording to the Surgeon General’s National Strategy for Suicide Prevention (2001)\, a gatekeeper is someone in a position to recognize a crisis and the warning signs that someone may be contemplating suicide. \nGatekeepers can be anyone\, but include parents\, friends\, neighbors\, teachers\, ministers\, doctors\, nurses\, office supervisors\, squad leaders\, foremen\, police officers\, advisors\, caseworkers\, firefighters\, and many others who are strategically positioned to recognize and refer someone at risk of suicide. \nAs a QPR-trained Gatekeeper you will learn to:\n\n\n\nRecognize the warning signs of suicide\nKnow how to offer hope\nKnow how to get help and save a life\n\n\n\nInformation on QPR Training: https://qprinstitute.com/about-qpr

SUMMARY:Updating NH's Climate Action Plan
DESCRIPTION:Updating NH’s Climate Action Plan \nJoin us for an update webinar as we delve into the latest findings from the New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services (NHDES) regarding their pivotal community engagement sessions as they embark on updating the state’s Climate Action Plan.

SUMMARY:Caregiver Friendly Workplaces Webinar
DESCRIPTION:In collaboration with UNH Center on Aging and Community Living. This webinar will focus on providing tools and resources for establishing Caregiver Friendly Workplaces as well as outline the need and return on investment for businesses. It is estimated that one of every six employees provide some level of care for a family member or friend. With this a daily reality for so many\, it is no surprise that about 80% of these caregivers admit that caregiving impacts workplace productivity. This webinar will focus on providing tools and resources for establishing caregiver friendly workplaces as a means of strengthening productivity and retention of employees and establishing supportive work environments. Presentations typically include audience engagement through sharing personal stories/experiences and examples/practices at organizations in which audience members are associated. Access to online toolkits will be shared.
