Optimizing Your Inner Eco-System
to Lead with Potency

All service emanates from your interior - you must have an Inner Anchor before an outer plan. In the healthcare arena, we often talk about trying to get to a place of “not being sick” - but there is limitation encoded into this.

What if instead we focused on “optimizing wellness” and activating a world of possibility? We need to shift our focus from “minimizing stress” to “optimizing potency.”

Uncharted

Epidemics. Financial crashes. A climate crisis. We live in an age of great uncertainty. Few business leaders were brought up for this environment. The 3-legged stool of management—forecast, plan, execute—falls over when forecasting becomes so difficult. So how should organizations think about the future? What tools and mindsets will be helpful, and which might be dangerous? What are the characteristics of those who can and will thrive in these times? The future may be uncharted but that doesn’t mean we are helpless; it does mean we need to call on more of ourselves and each other than ever before

Building Economic Resiliency: An Inclusive Recovery Hindsight is 20/20 Collaborating with Emerging Changemakers for Impact Leading During Crisis

AnnMarie French and Phil Sletten of the NH Fiscal Policy Institute will discuss economic trends that limited the wellbeing of many Granite Staters during the state's uneven recovery from the Great Recession and the compounding impacts resulting from the COVID-19 crisis.

They will highlight key insights and ideas as to how this economic recovery can be more equitable and inclusive.

Jennifer Perkins of NH Charitable Foundation will highlight key decisions and principles that informed how the NHCF weathered COVID-19 to meet their mission and serve New Hampshire communities in a time of unprecedented challenge.

She will share easy to implement ideas to increase the resiliency and connectedness of your organization, including how intentional leadership and compassion can drive success in times of crisis.

Erin Allgood and Dr. Fiona Wilson will share stories of the incredible impact that the Changemaker Collaborative has had for both local businesses and the state's emerging sustainability leaders.

Learn about the many ways your company can get involved and about how the Changemaker Collaborative can help you advance your company's own sustainability goals.

The real test of leadership does not occur when everything is smooth sailing. In crisis mode, leaders sometimes have to make quick or hard decisions. But the way a company behaves and acts during a crisis can establish their credentials when the crisis is over.

Dayna Gilchrist of The HYPE! Agency shares her creative thinking and problem solving tactics that have allowed her to pivot and adapt in an industry severely impacted by the pandemic.

Building Community Wealth and Wellbeing as an Anchor Institution

Businesses often think of their "Community Engagement" as being the 1-5% of profits that they contribute to community organizations, use to sponsor events, and other charitable activities.  The concept of Anchor Institutions challenges businesses to consider how they can intentionally use the entirety of their business activity:  purchasing, hiring, and investing, to improve the wealth, sustainability, and wellbeing of all people in the communities where they live.

In this session you'll delve into how you can implement some of these strategies at your organization for greater sustainability impact.

Ceres Roadmap for Sustainable Business Leadership

This is the decade for action.  The decisions we collectively make over the next ten years will significantly impact our lives, our families ,and our communities for decades to come. A vital role player in choosing our future, is companies, both large and small.  That is why Ceres developed the Ceres Roadmap 2030, a vision and corporate action plan for sustainable business leadership.

During this session, one of the lead authors of the Ceres Roadmap 2030 will walk us through its themes and, more importantly, how the framework can be used to improve sustainability performance and integrate sustainability into your company’s decision-making processes.

Cultivating Regenerative Community

The Climate Crisis will present challenges to life in New Hampshire that we are only now beginning to perceive. This session will ask you to consider tensions between existing norms and the pressing needs in our communities, will encourage an evolution in your own thought processes, and explore ways you can inspire a similar evolution of thought in your business and community.

Through careful attention to our own thought processes we can work toward achieving a shared will to meet future challenges.

The Fierce Urgency of Our Future

How must business respond to the existential threat now facing humanity? How must we show up as brands and leaders to meet these challenges - from pandemics to climate emergencies to social inequities - with equal force? How must we work together in new ways that drive business growth and scale impact? That builds our reputation, strengthens company culture and drives business growth? In this session, you'll find actionable insights into how we must think and act to ensure that business, humanity, and our planet can thrive.
